Care of the planet

Holy holy holy

One writer suggests that every time you pick up a piece of trash along the road, say to yourself: “Holy, holy, holy is the house of God.” As people of faith, we’re called to be responsible stewards of God’s creation: the soil, air, water, and all of God’s living creatures.

Stewardship of God’s creation

Our congregation is taking steps toward “going green,” doing our best to take care of God’s creation with some concrete steps:

  • Disposable waste is being reduced through elimination of paper goods from congregational meals.
  • An energy audit in our church building has provided information for good stewardship of resources.
  • St. Paul people are encouraged to recycle, reuse, buy locally, and more.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America encourages people of faith to take up the challenge of earth-keeping. Read more >>

"What we call doubt is often simply dullness of mind and spirit, not the absence of faith at all but faith latent in the lives we are not quite living, God dormant in the world to which we are not quite giving our best selves." ~Christian Wiman
