Togetherness

Prime Time | Saturday, Sept. 11

A ministry of togetherness with 50/60somethings or so, launches monthly gatherings for the fall. Meet at church for a 3 p.m. departure to parts north.

The first stop is Brush Creek Winery in Andrew, Iowa, for wine-tasting. Then cars continue on to Maquoketa and the Ohnward Theater for a 7 p.m. performance of ‘Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3. It’s described as a “sinfully funny” comedy. Theatre tickets are $25 each.

Sign up in advance at the church

Fall brunch | Saturday, Sept. 11

All St. Paul Women are invited to a fall brunch on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 9 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.

This year’s Bible study is The People of God: Unity in the Midst of Diversity. Joel Moore, director of faith formation, will present The People of God: Reading the Bible, based on Romans 15:4.

Childcare is provided on request. Sign up for the brunch in the Elevator Area beginning Aug. 21 and 22.

Lutheran Men in Mission | Saturday, Sept. 11

The Lutheran Men in Mission will be serving breakfast and the topic of the day is sure to stimulate great conversation.

The event will be at the Kreiter’s Ranch in Blue Grass, Iowa on Saturday, September 11th at 7:30 am. The address is 12010 – 70th Avenue or County Road Y-40 in Blue Grass, Iowa. Balloons or markers will be set up to guide you.

Please call Jason Holdorf if you have any questions. Home Phone – 563-284-6722 or cell phone 563-340-9885.

Theology Pub

Join the “strength training” with fun and feisty conversation. Theology Pub meets at Front Street Brewery, in downtown Davenport, 7:11-8:45 p.m.

Lutheran people often flex their biblical muscles by using the words “law and gospel.” It’s the art of putting your ear to the Bible and listening to “HOW” God is working in the Word.

This Lutheran basement banter is for all ages. Come drink deep thoughts.
